21 more deaths, 410 new cases in Victoria, AMA president says NSW has become complacent, Australia death toll jumps to 352
Premier Daniel Andrews says he will provide a detailed breakdown on COVID-19 cases linked to workplaces next week.
“What I can say … is we have got the first cut of a really significant piece of work, and where a person presents or where a person works, for instance, is not necessarily where they got the virus,” he said.
“So, tracking back to the absolute source, trying to have a situation where it’s not just where you had it, but where you got it from, that is a good deal more complex than it might seem.”
Data will be released next week on the following sectors: aged and residential care, schools, hospitals and healthcare, student accommodation, backpackers, social settings, for instance, childcare, disability settings, food premises, correctional facilities (prisons), laboratories, and other primary family home domestic settings.
“There is quite a bit of work that needs to be done to settle each of those numbers. But that’s the type of data I’m hoping to be able to provide you quite soon,” Mr Andrews said.
