AstraZeneca COVID vaccine linked to Queensland nurse blood clot; Israel-Palestine ceasefire, Israel Folau to hold press conference21st May 2021
Victoria’s Health Department is asking customers and staff at an Epping Woolworths to get tested and isolate after incorrectly naming the wrong Melbourne store visited by a COVID-positive man.
Anyone who attended Woolworths Epping North on Saturday, May 8, between 5.40pm and 6.38pm is urged to get tested and isolate until they receive a negative result.
This is because investigators originally identified Woolworths Epping, not Woolworths Epping North, as an exposure site.
Late Friday, the Health Department revealed traces of COVID-19 have been detected in sewage around Epping, in Melbourne’s northern suburbs.
The department said it is setting-up a testing site at Epping Stadium given the Melbourne man who recently tested positive to coronavirus after a stint in Adelaide hotel quarantine lives in the adjacent suburb of Wollert.
The Department says the coronavirus traces may be a result of shedding from someone who is no longer infectious. However, it is also possible that there is an active but undiagnosed case in the community.
