‘Every available resource’ deployed in search for woman missing near Bluff Knoll
The search for a woman missing near Bluff Knoll in the Stirling Ranges resumed on Saturday morning, with police utilising “every available resource” as they scour bushland around the popular hiking spot for signs of the 38-year-old.
Temperatures dipped to below 3C overnight as concerns grew for Lorjie Tonguia Bautista, who was last seen about 4am Tuesday.
Staff at the local holiday park where Ms Bautista was staying raised the alarm when they realised the woman had not returned for two days.
Police held concerns for Ms Bautista’s welfare, and did not know how well prepared she was for the cold weather forecast for this week.
