Man dies in inner-Brisbane street, police questioning woman16th June 2021
A man died in the middle of a residential street in Brisbane’s inner-north after police responded to reports of a disturbance on Wednesday night.
The Newmarket man, in his 50s, was reportedly stabbed in the back.
It is understood that he was stabbed once after he got out of a car.D etectives are interviewing a woman who was known to the man.
Emergency services were called to the scene near the junction of Erneton and Ward streets in Newmarket just before 7pm after reports of a disturbance involving two people.
The male victim was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.
Police have established a crime scene and are interviewing neighbours.
The crime scene is within 200 metres of Newmarket train station.
