Police appeal for information after two people stabbed in Sydney’s CBD

Police are appealing for information after two men were stabbed during a fight in Sydney’s CBD.

About 11.50pm on Saturday, emergency services were called to the corner of George Street and Liverpool Street after reports of a brawl involving up to 16 people outside a hotel.

Upon arrival, police found two men, aged 25 and 28, suffering stab wounds. One man had been stabbed in his stomach, the other in his lower back.

Both men were treated at the scene before one was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and the other to St Vincent’s Hospital.

In a statement, police said their injuries were not life-threatening.

Following inquiries, police arrested two men, aged 18 and 21.

As investigations continue, witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of the incident is urged to contact police.
