Six-year-old boy found dead after vanishing while playing in the mud1st April 2021
A six-year-old boy who went missing while playing in the mud outside his home in northern NSW has been found dead.
Braxton Plant was last seen at his home on Wallangra Road, Wallangra, about 4pm on Wednesday.
Emergency services were alerted about 7pm. He had last been seen by family members and had not been wearing clothes.
His family and officers held serious concerns for the boy’s welfare because he had Down syndrome, was non-communicative and the surrounding area, about 150 kilometres west of the town of Tenterfield near the Queensland border, included dams and dense bushland.
