Victoria reports 17 deaths, 208 new cases for Sunday; New South Wales follow up positive guard; Queensland awaits test results
The Department of Health has revealed more information about Victoria’s current COVID-19 outbreaks.
Of the 208 new cases announced on Sunday, 46 of the new cases are linked to outbreaks, while 162 remain under investigation.
There are now 1616 COVID-19 cases connected to aged care outbreaks, a decrease of 73 compared to Saturday. Active cases in Victoria’s disability services have also dropped, with a total of 57 cases across the sector, a decrease of six from yesterday.
Victoria’s health department is now investigating cases linked to two aged care facilities: Princeton View Aged care in Brighton, Estia Health aged care facility in Keysborough.
There are also new cases linked to a ward at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, the Western Private Hospital in Footscray, the Laming racing stable in Cranbourne and Channel 10 Studio where The Masked Singer is filmed in Docklands.
