Woman arrested after allegedly stabbing son in Sydney’s eastern suburbs21st November 2020
A woman has been arrested after she allegedly stabbed her son at a home at Bellevue Hill in Sydney’s east in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Emergency services were called to the house on Drumalbyn Road at about 1.30am following reports a 22-year-old man had been stabbed.
Three ambulance crews and a specialist medical team responded to the scene, treating the man for wounds to his back, right shoulder and left arm before he was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in a serious condition.
He remained in a stable condition at the hospital on Saturday afternoon.
The man’s mother, 55, was also at the home when police arrived. She was arrested and taken to Waverley police station, where she was expected to be charged on Saturday afternoon.
Police said officers from the eastern suburbs command are continuing to investigate the incident.
