Woman faces court charged with terrorist offence over prison stabbing19th November 2020
A woman has been charged with engaging in a terrorist act after allegedly stabbing a fellow inmate at a Victorian prison.
Momena Shoma, 27, faced Melbourne Magistrates Court on Thursday after being charged over an alleged stabbing at a prison in Ravenhall on October 30.
Shoma was charged by counter-terrorism police on Wednesday and appeared before court from a room at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre.
Police say another woman, also 27, suffered a hand injury in the incident.
